| Description | The gallatrane Ga(OCH2CH2)(3)N (1) forms a dimethylamine adduct, which exists in solutions in two tautomeric forms : a tricyclic cage, Me(2)NHGa(OCH2CH2)(3)N, and an open-cage bicyclic species Me(2)NGa(OCH2CH2)(2)NCH2CH2OH, which were identified by H-1, C-13 and Ga-71 NMR spectroscopy. The mass spectrum of the adduct revealed a homologous series of oligomers of 1(n), where n = 1, 2, 3 and 4. |
