Description The policy paper is one of the outputs of the project South Caucasus at the Intersection of Interests, which was implemented in 2021-2022 (applied research project). The text focuses on the question of opportunities, but also the existing limits of international institutions/organisations (mainly the EU, but also the Russian Federation, Turkey, China and others) in relation to Georgia and its separatist regions. The study focuses on the above mentioned issues primarily from the political-security dimension. However, some important economic aspects are not neglected, primarily due to the multidimensional nature of the roles of the actors in the region. Taking into account the Czech Republic's membership in the EU, NATO and other international organisations, as well as the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union (second half of 2022), the thesis also aims to formulate certain recommendations for the Czech foreign and security policy in relation to the respective area.
