Description The objective of the methodology is to define the procedures for collecting population morphological data in the environment of the A.D.A.P.T. web platform. The procedures are based on the processing of metric data and three-dimensional digital models of the human body. The methodology is primarily aimed at designers and manufacturers of personal protective equipment. They are provided with tools to obtain data on somatic characteristics of the Central European population. Part of the methodology consists of a process of defining the reference sample using filters included in the database, a demonstration of the correct use of tools for measuring somatic dimensions on 3D digital models and their comparison with protective equipment models, and statistical data processing and analysis. In addition, the methodology includes a description of the data and its reliability, which is evaluated according to the relevant standards of ISO. The methodology provides users (primarily designers and manufacturers of protective equipment) with tools and procedures that enable them to make full use of the data contained in the A.D.A.P.T. database, including the ability to measure specific, non-standard body dimensions and process the data into summary results.
