Description Prototype device was created for mimicking in-line continuous surface modification of float glass of width 1 meter. The device was designed and constructed to be compatible with standard production lines of OGB company and specifically to be integrated with lamination tables with roll bearings and horizontal float glass industrial cleaning washers. The prototype is fitted with 5 pieces of flat DCSBD plasma units for uniform surface plasma modification of float glass sheets over all working width of the device. The support plate of the DCSBD plasma units is fully hight-adjustable for surface modification of various thickness float glass sheets. Each installed plasma unit is also individually horizontally adjustable for precise setting of the flatness of the generated plasma array to reach the most homogeneous and efficient plasma modification of the modified float glass surface. The operating parameters of the prototype device were verified by surface plasma modification of the float glass used in the production of laminated glass with the SentryGlas Ionoplast interlayer. The prototype device can be further upscaled for plasma modification of large area float glass sheet of width more than 1m by the installation of additional DCSBD plasma units.
