Citation
Description The article deals with the problem of Czech language influence on one of the law codes of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, namely the Wiślica Statute. It refers to the East Slavonic translation of the Statutes of Casimir III the Great and Wladislaw II Jagiello, which were created in Latin. The text of the Wiślica Statute is compared with three Czech monuments of the 14th century (Rožemberská kniha, Řád práva zemského, Výklad na právo zemské české Ondřeje z Dubé). A sufficient number of analogies in the use of words, phrases, syntactic constructions were found, which may indicate that Czech texts could be used in translation as a pattern.
