Description The purpose of this paper was to introduce interdisciplinary concept of linguo-religious complexes with application on research of past peopling patterns and language spread in East Asia. In its main part, the paper explains principles of linguo-religious complexes for advanced research of linguistic and ethno-religious contacts and their regulative impacts on past human groups. Historical examples of religious changes in Inner Asia and differences between mountainous Inner Asia and coastal lowlands of China and Vietnam, stimulated key points of this paper enabling complex explanation of the emergence of multi-ethnic cultural complexes in Asia.
