Description The German minority organization Assembly of Germans in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia formulated in 2001 its demands. It requires from the Czech state compensation for the post-war wrongdoing of the Czechoslovakian state against Sudeten German antifascists and their families. These demands were transformed into a governmental proposal by Petr Mareš (Vice-prime minister from the years 2002-2004 from the Union of Freedom Democratic Union). Major Czech political subjects reacted differently. Some liberal, christian democratic, civic democratic and communist (!) politicians supported these demands, but they are not acceptable for a large part of the Czech political spectrum. Many politicians consider this activity to be the first step to the recognition of the demands of all Sudeten Germans living in Germany and Austria.
