Citation
Description The publication represents the summary of the issues of the research project Legal Attitudes and Value Orientations of Delinquent Women carried out by the Department of Legal Theory, Faculty of Law, Masaryk University in the years 2002-2004. The substantial part of the monograph on the womens delinquency presents a theoretical and empirical analysis based on the representative research among sentenced women in some Czech prisons. The research was concentrated on crucial characteristics of sentenced women: age, education, family, criminal behaviour, length of penalty etc. Nevertheless, the topic was focused on legal attitudes and value orientations of delinquent women. The theoretical analysis of these sociological data was complemented with the relevant comparative data of Slovak sentenced women research. The analysis was also based on qualitative methods to examine the life in female prison community and relations among sentenced women in the prison. The publication also describes the changes in female criminality from the point of view of statistics.
