Description Some of the Balkan countries reserves part of seats in the parliament for ethnic minorities. In the first part of the article common ways for securing of seats for minorities are resumed. Then the examples of the reservation of seats in the parliaments of Slovenia, Croatia and Romania are discussed in more details. At the conclusion advantages and disadvantages of the form of reservation in these countries are briefly analyzed.
