Description The paper deals with current labour law issue, which is the degree of implementation of contractual freedom in the relations arising between employees and employers. Based on the definition of the principle of autonomy of the will the contribution deals with the reasons behind the restrictions on its application in industrial relations. Consequently the paper focuses on description of the legal regulation, which contains rules for the autonomy of the will principle application in industrial relations. This is followed by the consideration of the possibilities, which could make it possible to apply the autonomy of the parties in labour law relations more widely.
