| Description | During 1970-2006 the incidence of non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC) increased from 37.2 to 172.5 in men, from 37.0 to 150.1 in women, the mortality from 1.2 to 1.7 in men, from 1.0 to 1.2 in women per 100.000 Czech inhabitants. The prevalence reached 1,436.4 in men and 1,435.9 in women per 100.000 inhabitants up to 31.12. 2005. From total 264,514 NMSC there were diagnosed 123,735 multiple cases, 51.8% in men of total registered and 41.6% in women, represented 22.3% primary NMSC in men, 18.2% in women and 29.5% subsequent NMSC in men and 23.4% in women. By gender there were higher 66,4% duplicities in women and on the contrary higher 41,9% multiplicities in men. The number of primary NMSC increased till 1994 and then decreased, of subsequent ones permanently increased. The average lenght between the primary and subsequent diseases was 7.3 years, proportion of numbers of synchronous and metachronous NMSC was 1:8 in men and 1:7.5 in women. |
