| Description | The paper deals with the formation of stellerite, manasseite, sjögrenite and sergeevite in deteriorated concrete of railway tunnel near Banská Štiavnica. The deterioration proceeds due to the application of unsuitable aggregate containing reactive forms of SiO2. Based on the examination it was stated that the formation of these minerals is a result of reactions between alkali-silicate and alkali-carbonate gels and sulphates - ettringite and thaumasite. |
