Description Two skeletons of adult males from Pohansko near Břeclav (Czech Republic), show healed amputations. In the first case both bones of the left crus and in the second case all five metatarsal bones of the right foot were amputated. In both cases healing had been completed some time before death. In both cases is the amputation as a result of blade injury the best interpretation if we take into account also archaeological and historical data.
