| Description | The paper deals with online gambling issues in the Czech and EU law surroundings. The attention is also paid to the parties with permission to operate this kind of games and to the conditions for the operation and the legalization of the game in the Czech Republic. Generally, online betting is a relatively new kind of game which in terms of the Czech legal surroundings occurred before it was officially permitted. The existence of online games has many opponents and proponents. Therefore, attention will be paid to the opinions on online betting and the problems it brings. The paper will also focus on efforts to control the game in the EU law. The final part of the paper will be devoted to online poker as the most popular online game. |
