Description This paper gives a complete list of bryophytes of the spring fen named Kolo, supplemented with a list of vascular plants and two phytosociological releves. Bryophytes are common especially in the wet parts of the site. However, they often occur also in tree bark at the site margins. Moreover, a large number of species occurs in disturbed places such as tractor ruts. Altogether 2 species of liverworts, 38 species of mosses and 1 macroalgae species (Chara cf. vulgaris L.) were recorded. Red list species are represented by Campylium stellatum (LR-nt), Amblystegium tenax, Fissidens adianthoides, Fissidens pusillus, Plagiomnium elatum, and Plagiomnium ellipticum (LC-att). High botanical value of the area is manifested also in the diversity of vascular plants. From the total of 174 species recently confirmed, 2 species belong to the critically endangered taxa (CR, C1), 9 to the endangered taxa (E, C2), 3 to the vulnerable taxa (V, C3) and 8 to the lower risk taxa (LR, C4a). Among the most notable findings are a newly discovered population of Typha shuttleworthii (CR, C1), an extremely numerous population of Dactylorhiza incarnata (E, C2), and vast stands of Centaurea stenolepis (CR, C1) in the surrounding meadows. Another notable species are Blysmus compressus, Carex distans, Eriophorum latifolium, Ophioglossum vulgatum, and Traunsteinera globosa (E, C2).
