When and for how long can I interrupt my studies?
Interruptions of studies are calculated in days and must last at least one full semester, but cannot be interrupted for only part of one semester. Thus, for example, if an interruption occurs during a semester, a person can only re-enrol in studies after the end of the following semester.
The total period of study, including interruptions, may not exceed twice the standard period of study. For a three-year bachelor's degree, you are normally entitled to a total interruption of up to three years, but if you extend your studies by one year, you can only interrupt for two.
