I am in a particularly difficult life situation, what can I do?
Rector's scholarship programme to support students in difficult life situations
The purpose of this scholarship programme is to support students who find themselves in particularly difficult life situations caused by circumstances beyond their control. This scholarship program is announced by MU Measure No. 16/2018.
This scholarship is not intended for students who are required to pay tuition fees for a study programme conducted in a foreign language (self-payers). The scholarship can be awarded to a student no more than once per semester.
The Vice-rector for Student Affairs decides on awarding of the scholarship and its amount. When deciding, particular consideration is given to the seriousness of the student's social and life situation and the course of his or her studies.
How to apply
The application for this scholarship is submitted via the MU Information System. The application must describe in detail the student's situation – the reasons for the application. The application must also be enclosed with student's bank statements for the last three months and his/her parents' bank statements for the last three months which clearly show all incoming and outgoing payments and, if applicable, other documents proving the student's difficult life situation. The application may be submitted at any time during the academic year outside the period from 1 July to 31 August, but no more than once per semester.
