Course of the Modern Greek Language - Intermediate II (online) (in Czech)
The course is designed to enable students to acquire the advance level of Modern Greek and to be able to engage in conversations in the language
The course is intended for all those with knowledge of Modern Greek at approximately A2 - B1 level. It is suitable for graduates of the Greek for Intermediate I (online) course within the Lifelong Learning Programme at Masaryk University. For others, we recommend an orientation placement test and an appointment with the program guarantor (Nicole Votavová Sumelidisová, nicole.votavova@mail.muni.cz).
covering the present, future, and past tenses. Learners work with contemporary conversational textbooks, with a strong emphasis on communication skills. However, all fundamental language skills are practised, including listening and reading comprehension, as well as spoken and basic written expression. Basic topics are further developed, and new ones are introduced (food, housing, studies etc.). As part of the language instruction, students are also introduced to Greek culture and current affairs, gaining an overall awareness of present-day Greece.

About course
What you will learn
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to understand moderate spoken Modern Greek, focusing on everyday activities, traveling, studies etc. Additionally, the student will be able to comprehend texts on these subjects, write short, simple texts, and use the grammatical structures covered. Their knowledge will align with the B1 and B2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Employment prospects
A graduate can apply their knowledge in moderate conversations in a Greek-speaking environment. They can also continue their studies in the Greek for Advance course.How to enrol
