Creation of internet regional atlas in South Moravia area. Objective of
project is to provide of cartographic infrastructure. This
infrastructure asumme creation of thematicaly dynamic and updatable
electronic atlas which will make environment for geographic research
results presentation. This cartographic infrastructure will ensure
formal validity of cartographic visualizations and their easy usage by
potential users, include apropriate map creation. Beside proposal and
establishment electronic atlas, in research will cartographic perception
and generalisation included. Part of atlas will proposal of formal
language for extending and updating atlas by different geographic
themes. Technologies used in frame of electronic atlas will based on
recomendations of W3C and OpenGIS consortions.
