• Description: Gelatinase A (matrix metalloproteinase-2, MMP-2) has been shown to play an important role in the pathogenesis of several disorders, including periodontal diseases. In this study, we test the hypothesis that variations in this gene influence the development and severity of chronic periodontitis.
