MU holds position in THE World University Rankings

In October 2022, the latest results were published for The Times Higher Education World University Ranking (THE WUR). The same as previous year, Masaryk University holds shared position of 801–1000. Within the Czech Republic it shares 2nd place with the South Bohemia University (JČU), while on the 1st place is held by Charles University in Prague (UK).

MU ranks among TOP 500 in ARWU 2022

The most recent Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU, aka Shanghai Ranking) has been published in August 2022. This year, Masaryk University has significantly improved its position from 601st–700th to 401st–500th and has therefore ŕanked among 500 best world universities for the first time in the ARWU history. Within the Czech Republic MU stays in 2nd place.

MU in QS World University Rankings in 2022

In June 2022 the results of the QS World University Rankings 2023 were published. Masaryk University has kept its 551st to 560th place among 1,422 world universities and holds 4th place among Czech universities, after Charles University, UCT Prague and CTU.

MU in THE Impact Rankings 2022

In 2022 Masaryk University for the second time participated in THE Impact Rankings, which assess the way universities fulfill the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this year's overall ranking MU ranked 301st–400th among 1,406 world universities and despite the growing competition improved its position compared to 401st–600th place last year.

MU again participated in 4 out of 17 rankings for individual SDGs. Its improvement is thanks to a higher position in SDG 17 Partnership for the goals, where it ranked 301st–400th. Its best position was in SDG 4 Quality education, where MU ranked 101st–200th, SDG 16 Peace, justice and strong institutions and SDG 3 Good health and well-being, where MU ranked 201st–300th
