The center of this project is the examination of the strategy of Baťa concern management in dispatching employees abroad in the period of escalated threat of the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany and after the occupation. On the basis of analysis of preserved archive materials of selected Czechoslovakian companies within Baťa concern (such as Baťa, Kotva, EXICO, Zlínská letecká, BAPOZ, FAB, Fatra, MAS etc.) and excerption of both scientific and memoir literature, the project will focus on the quantification of transposed employees and determination of their professional qualification, religion and nationality. A special part of the project will be devoted to the comparison of realized relocation strategies applied to employees of Jewish origin and to employees of non-Jewish origin. The aim of the project is to analyse the organized relocation of employees of selected Czechoslovakian companies within Baťa concern to their foreign branches in 1938-1939. The project will concentrate on the strategy in choosing the countries of final destinations, professional qualification of employees as well as their background in terms of religion and nationality.
