Project topic focuses on issues of Roma pupil’s education and their social inclusion possibilities. Target group of research
comprises of Roma pupils from selected locality, their parents and teachers. Main research priorities are to map construction of
pupil from socially handicapped environment in school discourse, to provide description of Roma pupil’s identities by various
school discourse actors, explanations of social reality of education by Roma pupils and their attitude to role of pupil from
socially handicapped environment. Outcomes will be incorporated into scope of selected critical theories and research studies
about social reproduction. Important contextual part of research is to provide definition of Roma pupil’s stock of knowledge,
contradictorily provided by institutions of school and family in secondary socialization, and description of rasist, or
discriminatory discourse in Czech society. Project is based on unconventional methodological combination of discourse analysis
and Theatre of the Oppressed, which has not been used yet in Czech pedagogical research.
