Research in Antarctica monitors climate
Expedition to Masaryk University's Johann Gregor Mendel Antarctic Station on James Ross Island succeeded in accomplishing everything it set out to do.
State-of-the-art equipment, cutting-edge technologies and international cooperation. This is what research at MU is all about.
We are dedicated to establishing the right priorities, committed to securing sufficient funding and fully aware of the ethical and social implications of our research results.
The International Scientific Advisory Board provides us with very welcome feedback. The ISAB helps MU establish research priorities, develop scientific strategies and boost international cooperation.
Our scientists have achieved success at national and international levels. In addition to issuing a wide range of significant scientific publications, we regularly organize seminars and lectures on science and research conducted at MU.
Access to central laboratories equipped with unique instruments is provided to other university units as well as other academic workplaces and even private companies.
MU Research infrastructures are an important pillar of research and innovation systems.
Their significance is emphasized by our participation in 15 projects listed in the Czech National Roadmap for Large RDI Infrastructures.
Nine of these projects are also part of research infrastructures of pan-European interest included in the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) for 2016.
