| Popis | Discovering English with Sketch Engine exploits the lexical turn in language teaching, as it enables the reader to consult the language of thousands of native speakers who is authentic speech and writing has been sampled and stored in the corpora. In the process of answering hundreds of language questions, the reader acquires the corpus to skills necessary to obtain the language data from which conclusions can then be drawn. The questions concern collocations, idioms, phrasal verbs, prepositions, word order, colloquial language, grammar structures, punctuation, new words and phrases, the grammar of the vocabulary, regional variation and much more besides. |
