Popis Recycling spaces or reuse of abandoned territories is one of the key issue of local development for a large number of public administration authorities. This paper explores the process of unused space regeneration, i.e. brownfield regeneration, from the perspective that allows to analyse the social, technical and material aspects in the way they emerge in specific cases. In this context, recycling spaces does not mean the actual material reconstruction of territory from one function to another, but an emergence of new network space, or more precisely transformation of one network space to another. The aim of the research is to show how the new actor-network is established during the process of recycling spaces with a focus on the post-socialist space, where the issue of brownfields regeneration has attracted public interest only recently and is still characterized by rather unsystematic treatment by public authorities and underdeveloped scientific apparatus. Building on the systematic study of intervening actors (forms of their participation, role and interests in the recycling process), direct observations and first semi-structured interviews with the actors involved, the paper presents preliminary and partial results based on a specific case study.
