Popis Most of religious studies scholars have enjoyed their share of virtual "couch" conferences during 2020 and 2021. While there is a certain charm to munching lunch and sipping tea in your pyjamas alongside listening to interesting lectures, the magic of conference meetings is unmatched. The longed-for easing of epidemiological conditions for traveling and organizing mass events has made it possible to hold international conferences again. The traditional international conference of the European Association for the Study of Religions (EASR) in 2021, after a year's enforced hiatus and in a hybrid form, took place from 30 August to 3 September in Pisa, Italy. As in previous years, the eighteenth edition was attended by a number of representatives from Czech universities. Two participants from the ranks of the emerging generation of researchers - Michal Puchovský and Jana Nenadalová - shared their work and offer their perspectives on the conference proceedings in the following joint report.
