The course targets mainly students who consider future career in Czech civil service as legal drafters. The aim is to acquaint them with theoretical background to legislative drafting and subsequently practical aspects of the issue in question. It conceptualizes legislative drafting in a wider notion, spreading from drafting itself to subsequent negotiations and adoption of proposals of legal acts. Because obligations stemming from EU membership heavily influence many domestic legal acts, implementation of EU law runs as a silver thread though all phases of legislative process and the course will place special emphasis on its impact.
