Exploration of Language, Culture and Social Diversity in Taiwan (Part 2)

The academic cooperation between the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Germany and the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University will enable the Department to continue implementing an ongoing Taiwan Studies program of activities related to Taiwan, including Taiwan’s languages, history, society, and culture, with the support of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan.
The program title provided by the Department is: Exploration of Language, Culture and Social Diversity in Taiwan (Part 2). The program will provide the following for students and researchers:

• Regular courses related to Taiwan's languages, and Taiwan's cultural and social diversity each year,
• visits of scholars from Taiwan and from other parts of the world, and to Taiwan
• field research support
• student visits to Taiwan to study (for 1 or 2 semesters),
• Taiwan-related conference presentations,
• student trips to Taiwan (short-term), and
• more Taiwan-related resources in the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.
