Divice u Brumovic: Antropologický rozbor kosterního materiálu získaného výzkumem zaniklého středověkého kostela

Popis This research focuses on standard anthropological analyses of the human bone remains of 42 individuals: 21 adults (specifically 14 male and 7 female skeletons), 13 immature skeletons and 8 unidentified bone remains dating from 13th to 16th century. These skeletons come from the mediaeval burial-ground at extinct village Divice, approximately 2 km east of Brumovice (div. Břeclav). Most of the children died in category infans II, men and women in the period adultus. The mean height of stature in men was 171 cm, in women in 160 cm. This investigation dealt with study of funeral rite. All of the individuals were placed to the grave pits in dorsal position (some inhumed in coffin). Village Divice was established in 13th century and became extinct during 15th century, but undertaking continued until 2nd half of 16th century. This conditions reflect the religious situation in the Czech territory during 16th century.
