Popis Finite element analysis (FEA) is usually the first stage of planned research into the development of shapes of dental implants and the possibilities of their being anchored in the bone. The obtained results were verified in practice using mechanical stress tests. The objective of this paper was to evaluate the contribution of bicortical anchorage of an intraosseous implant in the bone during three-dimensional load under the simulated model conditions of an atrophied jaw bone in its inter-foramen area. The results confirmed the increase in the level of the slide depending on the length of the intraosseous section of the implant and bone density. The bicortical fixation method reported higher levels of slide between the two implants of both lengths, and this with both higher and lower bone density, than with monocortical fixation.
