Popis The state of Israel had support from European nations and the United States of America when it was created. Such unity of intent is no longer present. While the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and related peace proposals have created a popular perception of a distinct preference. Can such attitudes be objectively explained in policy language and polling data and how distinct are said differences? Moreover, is the reality a truthful representation of collective European opinion? This author intends to investigate in a comparative analysis the shift in European attitudes towards the state of Israel vis-a-vie that of the United States.
