Popis We have changed the method of teaching the subject Applied Chemistry at Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. Instead of a classic lecture, elements of a flipped classroom method are used. We brought the curriculum closer to the STEM concept. Our text discusses our first experiences with this way of teaching. An interesting finding, among other things, is that students with different life experiences perceive this method of teaching differently. Older students, who already work as teachers at lower secondary school, appreciate it and perceive it clearly positively. On the contrary, younger students claim that the teaching was worse prepared.
