Telomeric repeat containing RNA (TERRA) was revealed to be recruited to telomeres by RAD51 protein by the mechanism resembling strand-invasion and homology-search mechanism utilized in homology directed DNA repair (HDR). However, detailed mechanism of TERRA recruitment remains uncovered. We would like to focus on biochemical characterization of RAD51-TERRA interaction and regulation of TERRA recruitment.
