| Popis | In the article one of quantitative methods of the genealogical classification of languages is introduced, so-called recalibrated glottochronology. This method allows us to generate not only a hierarchized model of mutual relations in a group of related languages in a for of the tree-diagram, i.e. cladistics, but also to establish an absolute chronology of partial divergencies between ancestors of analyzed languages. The theoretical apparatus is applied to the old Germanic languages. |
