Popis The book covers the music of Moravia and the Moravian-Silesia and includes the period of about a hundred and fifty years, in which the two regions largely belonged to the Habsburg Empire. The beginning of the presentation is given with the year 1782, when Emperor Joseph II. connected the remaining part of Upper Silesia and Moravia to the so-called Moravian Gubernium with Brno as a capital, before also formed the multiform multinational events of the 19th century a first focus of the considerations such as lifting the 1860 efforts of the "Czech" and "German" Moravians for national identity. Thereafter, the views of the various forms of "modern music" of both nationalities are provided, then their even more rigid separation in time of the German occupation (1938-1945) before the expulsion of the German population after the Second World War, when a radical change entered the demographics of the country. With the subsequently necessary reorganization of cultural and music scene that glorious era ended in the history of the country, the Czechs and the Germans (and Austrians) had designed together. - Analytical and ethnological treatises on folk song of different ethnicities of Moravia complement the band.
