Positions of leaders and MPs in Czech Chamber of deputies 2013 – 2016

| Popis | The paper deals with the question about role of party leaders in creating of party positions on an important issue as well as in creating position of the party in the the system as such. For this purpose, I analyze the speeches in Chamber of Deputies of Czech Parliament given by chairmen of political parties as well as speeches provided by “ordinary” MPs. To obtain the positions, the computer-assisted content analysis will be employed. More specifically, I will use scaling technique called wordfish. The time period covers last electoral term except last 10 sessions of parliament(2013 - 2016) The results indicates that leaders speak in different way than MPs, but mainly because of their different roles. |
