Popis Franz Halberg and Germaine Cornelissen using ambulatory blood pressure monitoring showed the need to account day-to-day changes of blood pressure and heart rate and the necessity to circadian assessment of the hour-to- hour variability in cardiovascular parameters. Together with the Chronobiology Center of Minnesota we participate in the international project BIOCOS. The presentation in 2018 adds new results to this project BIOCOS (1,2,3,4,5,6). Shift work schedule involving irregular or unusual hours, is becoming popular among people because of the high demand for flexibility and productivity in the workforce in modern society (7). It is reported that 15-30% of workers in America and Europe are engaged in different degrees of shift work, and the trend is increasing rapidly (8,9).
