| Popis | The aim of the work is to analyse the historical development of professional pharmaceutical terminology used in official pharmaceutical standards – pharmacopoeias. For the analysis have been used selected Central European pharmacopoeias issued during the 19th and 20th centuries. The evaluation focuses on a specific group of herbal medicines – essential oils, and includes quantitative and qualitative analysis of their occurrence in the studied historical sources. The authors pay attention to the linguistic, botanical and pharmaceutical aspects of the topic. |
