| Popis | The education of pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in the Czech Republic has undergone significant changes in recent years. These changes respond to the development of inclusive approaches and an increasing emphasis on high-quality, interdisciplinary-supported education. This paper presents the parcial results of current research focused on analyzing the role of the SEN teacher for visually impaired within the education of students with visual impairments, including MDVI. The research reflects how experts — SEN teachers for visually imapired — perceive their professional role, as well as the competencies and support mechanisms essential for effective education of this target group. The study also identifies the main challenges these teachers face and how these challenges relate to the demands of contemporary inclusive education. The findings deepen the understanding of the importance of special needs education in this field and offer recommendations for practice and the further professional preparation of these specialists. |
