Popis In response to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the Czech Republic severed diplomatic, as well as business and cultural relations with Russia. As a result, employment opportunities for graduates of Russian studies programs at Czech universities have declined. Another factor transforming labour market has been the spread of generative artificial intelligence (AI), which has been increasingly used in various industries since 2022. In light of these changes, it has become necessary to revise the curricula and contents of the courses of Russian studies programs to reflect the current situation in the labour market. These steps require a clear understanding of the conditions in which graduates work today and the specifics of their work processes. In this talk, I am presenting the results of a survey conducted among graduates of BA and MA Russian studies programs at Masaryk University. I will attempt to answer the following questions: Do graduates use their knowledge of Russian in their work? For what work tasks? Do graduates use AI tools in their work processes? In what work situations?
