Popis Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is a comedy of ideas, which kick-started Tom Stoppard's career as one of Britain's leading playwrights. This talk will explain how intertextuality operates on the level of structure and language, it will analyze various types of humor present in the play, and present various theatrical features of the play that involve stagecraft and techniques. It will present the above in the context of the creation of the play, as well as discuss its relevance today.
