Popis The second, expanded and revised edition of this monograph combines theoretical and practical knowledge of investigative psychology, substantive and procedural criminal law, and criminology. It focuses on the issue of psychological credibility assessment, which is important in understanding the motivation behind an offender's criminal behavior. It provides specific indicators that can be used to determine whether a person is lying or telling the truth. It characterizes individual psychological methods of assessing credibility. It also deals with the psychology of law, which deals with the psychological aspects of situations regulated by law. It describes the function of law in society, how individuals perceive the law, and how they adopt behavior that is permitted by society. It also includes findings from the field of investigative psychology. It characterizes individual psychological strategies, such as cognitive interviewing, which enable the effective unblocking of a witness's memory, and describes the individual phases of its implementation. The monograph is supplemented by chapters devoted to the psychology of propaganda and the issue of information warfare from the perspective of investigative psychology and international information security law. In addition, the monograph also mentions selected psychological and legal issues of cyber security.
