The main aim of the project is to clarify and to conceptualize the relationship between two concepts of urban planning, compact city and polycentric city. The ambition is to interpret current urban processes and their planning reflections through the prism of expert debates on compactness of urban forms and polycentric/multinucleated spatial and functional configurations.
