| Popis | This paper presents the development of the environmental protection expenditure (EPE) of 205 Czech municipalities with extended powers plus the capital city Prague during the period of 2001-2011. Outcomes are compared with the development of the total municipal expenditure. EPE acts as a luxury good in most cases when the total municipal expenditure grows too. But in the cases when the total municipal expenditure decreases, the EPE still grows, which violates the luxury good concept. |
