| Popis | In the present study, we did a comparative analysis of the translation techniques applied to the translation of culturemes in the Czech and Slovak translations of the novel Chronicle of a Death Foretold. The objective was to identify possible differences between the translation methods of both translators and to describe how, in terms of the degree of translator's intervention, the chosen approaches influenced the general image of the original culture captured in the text. |
