Popis The topic of sacralization of the text worried mankind throughout its existence, at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, this issue became especially acute. Russian Symbolist writers have repeatedly raised the issue of this issue in their works, but it was in the work of Valery Bryusov that this topic sounded especially vividly. In the cycle of poems "Dreams of Humanity" the poet raises the question of the sacredness of religious texts, describing the worries and aspirations of people of different eras and nations. In Bryusov's prose works in The Fiery Angel and The Altar of Victory, the main characters try to preserve what they believe to be sacred knowledge and texts. Renata and Ruprecht, who believed in the sacredness of magic books, trying to touch secret knowledge, endow the texts with magical power. The topic of the sacredness of the text is raised at the very beginning of the work, since the main character treats books with special trepidation, almost animating old records. In Bryusov's articles "Teachers of teachers", as well as in a cycle of poems and a play dedicated to Atlantis, a large role is given to the sacralization of texts. By deciphering the records, the main characters discover unknown knowledge that completely changes the reality that exists for them. Also in poetry collections dedicated to the poetry of Latvia, Finland, Armenia, Bryusov selects and translates poems affecting the religious attitude to texts. In addition, much attention in the collections is paid to the folklore tradition, its recordings and rethinking of texts.
