| Popis | This article examines books translated from Russian into Czech between 2022 and 2025. The start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia in 2022 did not create a clear "before and after" in Russian-Czech literary transfer. While the overall number of translations has declined, this drop stems primarily from the reduced output in genre fiction, children's literature, and nonfiction. Literary fiction continues to be translated and published at roughly the same level as in previous years, and the criteria guiding text selection remain largely unchanged. Overall, the current body of Russian-to-Czech book translations reflects the ideological diversity of Czech society. |
