Popis The text discusses classroom seating arrangement and its influence on classroom communication. It has a form of literature review based primarily on foreign research findings as there is no such evidence available in Czech Republic. The text presents and compares the most commonly used types of classroom seating arrangements on a principle of their effectivity in various interactional situations. Finnaly the article shifts its focus on row and column arrangement as it is the most commonly classroom design used in Czech Republic and discusses possible existence of zones of disproportionate communication activity within it.
